Hi! My name is Tyana Alexander, and I am the founder/CEO of Queen 4 Queens! I am a trained Newborn Care Specialist, DONA trained birth doula, and a cardiac sonographer. I have 3+ years of experience working with infants and helping families adjust to their "new normal" after birth. It has been a constant passion of mine since I was very young to work with infants and newly developing families. I have had the honor and privilege of assisting multiple laboring families in welcoming their new babies into this world. I'm currently working on obtaining my IBCLC and furthering my studies in lactation and postpartum support. I'm very thorough when it comes to my responsibilities, and promise a safe and enjoyable environment for my families.

My doula training was very unique as most doula trainings last only 3 days. I was apart of an intensive 8-week doula program specializing in assisting women of color to give birth. The director of my program put together a team of black medical professionals, who are all experts in their fields, to train black women to be labor support doulas. Black women are 4x more likely to die or have life threatening complications during childbirth. At least 80% of these deaths/complications are completely avoidable. I was trained specifically in our traumas, triggers, and complications. Only by understanding where we came from can we possibly hope to make positive changes right now and in the future! That is why after every 3-5 paid births, I will perform a pro-bono birth for a laboring person who would normally be unable to afford doula services.
